Texas once again opened the checkbook to win an economic development prize from California.

In the latest foray from the Lone Star State, Williamson County leaders have approved incentives for the large campus that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) plans to build in North Austin.

County commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to enter into a so-called Chapter 381 economic development agreement with the Cupertino-based technology company.
