Tens of millions in incentives for Honeywell’s headquarters relocation to Charlotte were approved by City Council on Monday night.

As part of the council’s zoning meeting, the business investment grant — $17.1 million over 15 years — was approved 10-1 by council, with council member Ed Driggs voting against. Monday’s vote also authorized City Manager Marcus Jones to approve all contracts and leases relating to Honeywell’s relocation.
