The Charlotte City Council approved Monday night tens of millions in incentives for Honeywell’s headquarters move to Charlotte.

As part of the council’s zoning meeting, the business investment grant — $17.1 million over 15 years — was approved 10-1 by council, with Councilman Ed Driggs voting against. Monday’s vote also authorized City Manager Marcus Jones to approve all contracts and leases relating to Honeywell’s move.
