The University of Hawaii West Oahu broke ground on Friday for its $33.3 million Academy for the Creative Media building in East Kapolei, a 40,685-square-foot facility that will serve as the flagship campus for the university’s creative media programs.
Kiewit Building Group and Hawaii-based Next Design were awarded the design-build contract last year. The building is expected to be completed in June 2020 and be ready for students that fall.
