Publix Super Markets Inc. is remodeling a store in South Tampa that’s practically brand new to make way for an Instacart staging area.
The Lakeland-based grocer has filed plans with the city to add an Instacart staging area and an event planning space to the Britton Plaza store.
Publix demolished and rebuilt the Britton Plaza store in 2015. At 55,000 square feet, it’s among the largest in Publix’s six-state footprint.
