It’s Saturday night in that lull between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, and the sounds of a football bowl game blare across the parking lot at the Beaver Valley Shopping Center.
Cars pack the gravel lot next to Beef ‘O’ Brady’s as more sports fans trickle into the pub. A lone powerwalker stomps the treadmill at 24-7 Gym and Fitness and a handful of customers tote paper bags out of Beaver Valley Wine & Spirits, but the freshly paved and striped parking lot is otherwise deserted.
