Apple's HQ2: iPhone maker to add $1 billion Austin campus, thousands of new U.S. jobs

Apple Inc. plans to build a $1 billion office in Austin, Texas, not far from where it already has a major corporate hub, and expand campuses around the U.S., it said early Thursday morning.

The new 133-acre Austin facility will be able to handle about 5,000 employees when it opens, and could grow to house up to 15,000, Apple said.
