Amazon close to leasing space in the Chrysler Building

Amazon.com Inc. wants to take over about 10,000 square feet in the Chrysler Building.

The Seattle-based e-commerce giant (NASDAQ: AMZN) — which already has N.Y.C. space at Hudson Yards and, potentially, in Long Island City — is close to leasing a large store in the renowned Midtown Manhattan skyscraper.

The news, first reported by the New York Post, comes on the heels of an announcement that the Chrysler tower has been put up for sale.
