Roy Carroll won’t build the hotel near the BB&T Point stadium in downtown High Point after all, according to a report in the High Point Enterprise.
The report says the Carroll Cos. of Greensboro is no longer involved in the $17 million, 120-room hotel that leaders of the downtown redevelopment initiative hope to open in 2021.
The Enterprise cites Tim Elliott, master developer of the stadium and surrounding development, who said he couldn’t reach a deal with Carroll.
