A parcel of southeastern Minnesota land once touted as the home of a $1 billion biotech industry park has been sold to the Prairie Island Indian Community for $15.5 million.
The Star Tribune reports on the deal, for more than 1,000 acres of land near Pine Island, north of Rochester. The Prairie Island Indian Community said it had no immediate plans for the site, but wanted it as part of the tribe’s efforts to buy land away from its current home close to an Xcel Energy Inc.-owned nuclear power plant…
