Stephen Frenz, the Minneapolis landlord who has clashed repeatedly with tenants and local officials over conditions at his apartments, is now facing a criminal criminal charge of perjury related to one of those earlier legal battles.
The Star Tribune reports on the criminal complaint filed Wednesday by Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman that claimed that Frenz lied in a 2016 affidavit about the number of people living in one of the buildings he controlled.
