Foxconn buys historic downtown Racine office building

Foxconn Technology Group bought a historic downtown Racine office building from a real estate affiliate of the county’s other manufacturing giant, S.C. Johnson & Son Inc.

A Foxconn affiliate acquired the property at 601 Lake Ave. in late December for $1.2 million, according to state records. That building, a former Elks lodge dating to 1912, has 24,332 square feet and neighbors Racine Memorial Hall. It houses several tenants, including Wells Fargo Advisors.
