Whole Foods ending expansion of smaller 365 stores

Whole Foods Market’s 365 experiment is over.

Heralded by the Austin-based grocery chain as a way to win over price-conscious customers when it launched in 2016, there are 12 locations nationwide of Whole Foods 365, including one in Akron.

But the company won’t open any more of the smaller stores, according to multiple media reports citing an email CEO John Mackey recently sent to employees.
