Representatives of Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand signed a lease for a 5,000-square-foot office in downtown Troy as the New York Democrat considers running for president in 2020, according to The Times Union.
The newspaper cited an unnamed local Democratic operative as its source.
The report followed an Associated Press story Thursday afternoon that Gillibrand was considering Troy as the headquarters for a presidential campaign if she decides to run.
