Giant Food Stores is scheduled to open its first Heirloom Market, a new grocery concept, at 2303 Bainbridge St. in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood of Philadelphia on Jan. 25.
The company announced last fall that it intended to open the store at that location but had not scheduled a date. The Bainbridge store will total 9,500 square feet, much smaller than Giant’s typical suburban store. Those can be as large as 98,000 square feet.
