Lin-Manuel Miranda, other Hamilton collaborators rescue 101-year-old Drama Book Shop

The Drama Book Shop, a 101-year-old store dedicated to the performing arts, was in danger of closing due to a steep rent increase. That is until Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda stepped in for the save.

According to The New York Times, Miranda — along with three of his Hamilton collaborators — have purchased the iconic shop in an effort to keep it afloat.

The group — Miranda, Thomas Kail, Jeffrey Seller, and James Nederlander — will find the store a more affordable home in Midtown, Manhattan.
