About a month ago, I finally answered one of the many texts I normally get about someone wanting to buy my home. $252K. Nope. Too low. My zestimate was $310k with comps coming in slightly lower (however the comps weren’t nearly as updated as my house.)
The next couple of days I get the following ‘offers’
Open door: $285K Offerpad: $265K Zillow: $350K
Obviously, I move forward with the Zillow offer and have a formal inspection. Nice and easy. Only took 1.5 hours. Guy was really nice and thorough.
Got the final offer today, and to my surprise, the initial offer was only reduced by $2K.
We’re going to accept and close in 40 days.
Strangely enough, my next door neighbor got an offer for the same price as my Zillow offer (price per sq ft). We each had the exact opposite offers vis a vis Zillow/offerpad. Next door neighbor closed yesterday and moved to Florida
Thoughts? Just though I would share!
This market is crazy!
