Why are new builds in Brooklyn not “a good buy”?

I’ve read a couple of posts that say new construction condos in Brooklyn aren’t as good of a buy as a condo that’s older, but I don’t understand why. It seems like a unit in a newer building with better windows/layout/amenities would be worth more than a unit in an older building without all that?
