I’m having a hard time finding anything in the area that I want to live and if I do, I am getting beat out by cash offers. I only want to live in this home for 1-2 years before I turn it into a rental.
In Location A, the houses are nearly twice the size, built 2015-2018, and cheaper, more crime, closer to Nashville, but further away from where I spend most of my time when I go shopping, workout, etc.
Whereas in Location B where I want to live, they houses are nearly half the size, built from 1970s-2000s, and are running much more expensive, but in the area that I workout, shop, hang out with friends, etc and smaller with better schools, less crime, further away from nashville etc.
So I’m curious if any buyers have settled on the location and just took a location they didn’t desire because the house was bigger/newer/better or if they chose their desired location and just settled for a smaller, and older house. If so, how did they feel about it, how’s the experience going, and are there any regrets? On top of that, what would be best for renting in the future? Thank you!
