[US-CA] Seller doesn’t want to unstage home until just before close of escrow

We made an offer on a home, and received a response containing a counter offer with a list of addendums. Among them is that they don’t want to remove the staging in the home until a couple days before close of escrow, well after all contingencies have ended.

The place is a flipped and completely renovated, but I am concerned that staged furniture, especially the beds and rugs, could potentially be covering visual indicators of issues with the home. I think this is unlikely as everything currently visible is very cleanly done, but this feels a little sketchy to me. I do also understand that they don’t want to pay for the staging company twice if the deal falls through.

Is this a normal and reasonable request for sellers to make?

EDIT: Understood, thanks everyone
