I’ve tried to Google this but am not getting far. We are hoping to move in the next year into a single family home. We currently own a duplex and are trying to figure out how to keep it as a rental. We wouldn’t currently qualify to move and have both mortgages. How long do you have to show rental income for the original mortgage amount to not negatively impact your or do you always have to have enough in income to cover both loan balances?
