Can someone please explain to me all that’s involved in buying a house in Pennsylvania? My sisters both bought their first houses with no money down and all costs included in the loan. That was about 15 years ago though, before the market crashed. I found a house I liked, submitted all the paperwork, promised my first born child, etc. only to be told I’m approved for a $100,000 loan (more than I need for a decent house in my area) with no money down but I’d need $4500 for closing costs because of my median credit score of 618 and I wasn’t in the military or married to someone who was. This isn’t something I was ready for so I don’t have that much saved at this time. The person working for the lenders mentioned a usda loan but the house I originally wanted didn’t qualify. The realtor I was speaking with spoke to the lender and confirmed this. I found a home that did qualify later but after messaging both of them I’ve gotten no response. They can both go kick rocks, I will not be reaching out to them again. If anyone could help me navigate this or at least tell me a good lender and realtor company to work with I’d greatly appreciate it!
