If a seller counters a buyer’s TRR, does that trigger a new inspection period for buyers? My buyers has a 10-day inspection period. After they submitted their TRR for review, I was under the impression (based on what I read in the contract) that we had 10 days to negotiate the repairs. The buyers are arguing that me sending a counter to the TRR restarts the time on a new inspection period. If they’re right, wouldn’t this sale have the potential to drag on and on? They also argued that not allowing their inspectors to view the home is a breach of contract, but again, it doesn’t seem like that is provided for in the contract. Can someone provide insights?
