My wife wants to move, and this decision is killing me. I would appreciate any help.
Here’s the background:
Paid 405k for a house in 2019. We put 80k down and have an additional 7k in principal since. We refinanced and have about a 2% interest rate. We pay about 2k+480 in HOA fees a month. Yes our HOA fees suck.
Houses in our neighborhood have been selling for 500k+. My wife wants to jump in on this and rent until we are ready to but again/when the market cools.
I don’t know what the right move is here. If we rent, we are probably looking at 2500-3000 a month (we have a baby, a dog and a cat).
In the past I’ve expressed the desire to move, but the way the market has been has made me appreciate what I have. I don’t really want to mess that up 🙁
