[Texas] My landlord gave me a false deadline on the 60-day move out notice reminder they sent me. Can I do anything?

My lease states “If we require you to give us more than 30 days’ written notice to move out before the end of the Lease term, we will give you 1 written reminder not less than 5 days nor more than 90 days before your deadline for giving us your written move-out notice. If we fail to give a reminder notice, 30 days’ written notice to move-out is required.”

I received a reminder from them stating that my deadline to give them this notice was an entire 2 weeks before the deadline it actually should’ve been according to the last day of my lease (I did not realize this at the time), and that I also needed to let them know in only 4 days from the day I received the reminder. Because of this, I was forced to make other plans (besides moving out) and had to choose to re-sign, not knowing they had made any mistake.

I missed the actual 60 day deadline assuming it had already passed since the reminder they gave me said that it had passed, and I was not prepared to give my move out notice at the time they told me I needed to. I confronted them about this once I realized that according to my lease they screwed up not giving me enough notice of the deadline based on the section of my lease agreement that I quoted above, and they informed me it was actually an incorrect deadline and they tried to write it off as a “typo”. Well this “typo” cost me 2 weeks of time that i could’ve spent getting a new place lined up, and I could have given them my notice had I known they made this mistake and that I actually had more time to look for a new place. Now it is about 40 days before my last day of my lease and I am asking them to accept a 30 days notice at this point, since i was given an inaccurate deadline for the 60 days notice.

My landlord is trying to say they gave me the reminder, therefore they abided by the agreement. But they gave me the wrong deadline on this reminder which led me to believe the deadline had passed when it hadn’t. Is that even considered a valid reminder according to my lease agreement?

Are they allowed to do this and still require more than 30 days move out notice from me? What exactly is my landlord required to include in the reminder?
