I put in an offer on a house last Thursday and it was accepted on Friday. The contract had an inspection contingency.
The inspection was this past Monday and the house needed a lot more repairs than I expected so I decided to walk. I signed the Notice of Termination and Release of Deposit that day. As of Thursday night, the seller still hasn’t signed the termination.
Can anyone tell me what the average timeline might be and when I can expect to get my earnest money returned? Thank you.
