Selling and closing day before mortgage payment due

I accepted an offer to sell my condo with a closing date of the last day in June. I still have an outstanding mortgage on the condo and I pay the mortgage on the first day of the month, so in this case July 1. Since I close the day before, I won’t have to pay the July mortgage right? I would assume not? And if closing gets pushed a few days into July, I could not pay July 1 since with my mortgage provider there is no late fee until two weeks into the month. Seems logical to me but just wanted to be sure.
