Put my home on the market for $350k, it’s in a very central location in the middle of a midsized city that’s near everything worth being around. Only been on the market for two days, open house was yesterday, and we had an offer by that night.
I personally don’t think I need to assist with closing or do a paint allowance because don’t most of us plan on doing these things anyhow when we buy a home?
They gave me asking price, but then asked for 3% of closing ($10,500) and a $5000 paint credit, 1 year warranty and my fridge.
The thing is, we are leaving all the appliances (they were purchased last November) all outdoor furniture, a garage gym, 2 mounted flat screens (65 and 75 inch), 4 Arlo pro cameras, 1 year extended warranty, the home has brand new (2020) 75 gallon water heater, AC coil, furnace sensors, Flo tech, 2021 sagging beam repair done in basement, and landscaped front and back in 2021. Basically anything you would worry about in a home we fixed. We only owned it for 2 years and we fixed these necessary items.
I was going to counter with $350k, no paint credit, $5000 towards closing and also include all of the above stated things. Should I even bother with closing assistance/paint allowance in this market?
