Sellers “lost” solar purchase documents

Our offer was accepted, we’re in escrow, house was listed as having owned solar. Lender (and us) are asking for the solar purchase contract. My realtor claims they “lost” it but gave us the name of the company so “we could look it up”. I’m confused as to why the buyer is researching seller documents that they’re unable to procure. Why didn’t they do this before they listed the house two months ago? This all seems weird to me but is this normal? What happens if I have no proof that solar is owned? Title came back clean. We’re in CA.
