I’m aware of the normal reasons brought up here as to whether or not a rent-back period is a good idea. This house is a bit different than many in this situation however since it needs extensive rehab and there are known dangerous conditions on the property. I am mostly concerned about what happens if someone gets hurt on the property during the rent-back period. As much as I would like to help the seller by agreeing to a rent-back, I’m worried about the liabilities associated with doing so in this case. Any thoughts?
