We’re under contract on a new home for just under 800k. We waived the inspection contingency, but we’d like to still do an inspection for our awareness. We’re hoping to schedule any major repairs shortly after closing.
The sellers are not willing for us to do an inspection. They’re fine for us to swing by to take measurements, but no inspection.
I’ve shared with my realtor that we’d like to push back on this. We’d like to do an inspection before we close. Period. Inspection contingency would still be in place. Are we being too rigid on this?
