I’m a first time home buyer interested in a property that has roof issues mentioned in their disclosures. The age of the roof is listed as “unknown”, and they state that there was a leak in one of the rooms from the roof that was fixed this year. However, some studs were replaced due to the leak without a permit.
Is this something that should cause me to not consider the home? Would a regular inspection even be able to catch any related issues that could still be lingering? Anything I should look out for in the inspection period?
