Refusal to Provide Property Condition Report

Has anyone bought a home where the sellers refused to prepare a property condition report?

We wanted to see a house today until our agent told us the sellers are getting a divorce and their attorney advised them not to complete and sign a property condition report despite the fact that they built the house and lived in it for 20 years. This is a huge red flag to us and we took a pass on the house.

We understand that houses sold by trustees or personal representatives/executors in the event of the death of the home owner are not required to provide a report, but that is not the situation here. Just wondering what buyers think.
