My aunt passed away and she owned a double block. There was a bank lien of around 78,000 and since we are in the market my dad wants me to highly think about it. Now the downside is her son has literally declared war on everyone wouldn’t hold a funeral and denied everyone from paying their last respects. Her older sister has decided to air out our dirty laundry on Facebook. Now the thing is she already has a tenant paying rent but it is low. Now my cousin isn’t smart to figure out if I put an offer in what my married name is compared to my Facebook name so he won’t have his scumbag son trash the place. However the kicker is she had a 17,000 electric lien on the property that will come up on title search who is responsible for that. I don’t think the electric is for said property as it is for a bar her son owned (scumbag) and wife used my aunt’s SSN number for the utilities and never paid.
