Under contract to sell our house and buy another. Cannot close on our new house until end of June. Buyers want to close on our current house end of May due to their rate lock expiring.
The goal is to stay in our house until we close on our new house and only move once. Rent would be equal to our existing mortgage. Buyer suggested rent back.
As a seller – what are the risks of doing a rent back and staying in our house as tenants for ~30 days.
