So I am about to go into attorney review have not signed yet but there is an issue that I foresee with the neighbor. Each time I went there to look at the place or drive by a car was either parking in the lot in back or driveway. The property is on a corner lot and the property over has been using the back of the property I want to purchase as additional parking space or driveway. Now the last owner appeared to have planted some hedges there but they seemed to have died. I was planning to build a fence but I am pretty sure neighbor next door would be pissed as they will now have to drive through their driveway. I checked with the realtor and they said there is no easement so I should be able to build a fence. Apparently the last owner did not care as he had 3 cars and did not mind sharing but I plan to fence in the back and maybe add a bug shed. The realtor has already said something on our behalf and the neighbor now parks on part of the driveway at night.
Would this be a deal breaker as I am pretty sure neighbor is going to continue to park in driveway. Am I being petty? I would never park in neighbor’s driveway or lot unless it was temporary or an emergency.
