So im in the unique situation of purchasing a house I currently live directly across the street from (NH). On the disclosure, it indicates for the basement “moisture or leakage: none.” Well…today after three days of steady rain, I see the current owner carrying a shop vac in to the basement, and can hear him running it. There are also multiple windows open, and the door open to the basement. To me, it looks like the basement is wet. However I cant explicitly prove this, despite plenty of circumstantial evidence. We waived inspection and are on track to close aside from the appraisal. What should I do? I have zero experience with this type of thing.
