My property manager hasn’t been forwarding my payments to the owner and is ghosting the owner’s text messages and emails. I found out a couple of months ago the property manager lied and said I haven’t been paying rent (which I proved to the owner was not true).
I need to get out of this situation ASAP and move to another rental. My security deposit is $4,000 and is a lot of money to lose out on. If the property management company is going under, who has my money and is responsible for giving it back to me? Will I need to also seek legal action against property manager?
