Opinion – I’ve been accepted but the seller are rude?

Hi all! I just put a bid on a home that has been on market for 18 days in the greater Seattle Area that was accepted. I think the issue with the home is that

Needs a fresh coat of paint and other cosmetic Directly behind is a farm with chickens and goats.

Another home with a greenbelt in the area sold for the same price as this is listing – my bid price.

Our agent suggested we bid with inspect and ask for a credit to paint or they could paint (our only issue). After they accepted, their agent asked why we put an inspection and said they don’t want us to “nickle and dime them” for cosmetics issues such as paint and caulking. Obviously other people asked about it.

They sound difficult… and normal homes in the area sell within 5 days. These people had 3 weekends of open houses so obviously it’s too high (they just need to paint the walls).

Am I getting into a bad situation? Since I have an inspection clause, at least I can get out after the inspection if they are very terrible. If it matters, their agent is redfin.

TLDR: 18 days on a hot market. They accepted offer at listing price w/ inspected but is accusing me of trying to “nickle and dime” them to paint the house.

Edit: I was trying to bring down the price but now I know I should have bid low. But should I get out of the contract? Im not going to ask them to paint the house
