Opendoor Selling Experience

Incredible experience with Opendoor. We listed on the MLS here in south east Florida about 2 weeks ago. We knew we priced high but about a week in, but I wanted to see just where OD had us valued. They sent an offer to my agent and he said “hey we can work it out” if it’s right for you but he promised me the offer would suck.

Initial offer 743 Final offer 588

My mind was blown. We have a nice house but live on a pretty busy street. The initial offer was just below our listing price of 799 so we were actually intrigued. The inspector lady came out was here for 5 minutes complimented the outside of the house and left. Got the final today- that number is BEFORE the 20k they tried ding us for repairs, and the 5% fee and 1% closing costs. We would walk with much less. For the repairs we know the house needs a new roof and there may be some termite damaged fascia so it was kind of expected.

Agent is going to call tomorrow to see why the disparity, it’s weird after seeing all the positive selling discussions on here!

Next step we are going to drop our price 75k and keep it on the market. Fingers crossed.
