Nightmare “closing”

We were originally meant to close last Monday. There was a title issue and it was pushed back to Friday. On Friday, we were all excited with our new homeowner shirt and getting our check. Then on the way to the title office we got a call from our realtor that the seller refused to sign the closing document unless we agree to remove the 5k seller concession that was meant to help us with repairs.

She had agreed to it earlier but I guess she was mad because the appraisal was 22k lower so she had to bring down the price. We were quite upset because it was literally last minute but we agreed to only accept 2.5k. She agreed and went to go sign.

We were then told she doesn’t have valid ID and can’t sign for closing. Okay annoying, but we could close Tuesday when the DMV opens. But nope, apparently she can’t get a drivers license for some weird reason and she needs to get a document for her passport and can’t get an appointment till next week. Oh and our rate expires today.

Thankfully our lender extended it and said the cost will be passed to the seller. I just hope she doesn’t start tripping when she sees that whenever the new closing is.

I know we can sue or whatever but we need to move in 30 days so we don’t have that kind of time. Just hoping we can close next week or first week of July(so we can skip august payment)
