I purchased a home in (edit: major US city) in December 2020, I was told there was going to be a bar opening next door when I purchased the place, but I wasn’t aware they were demo-ing the existing structure and turning it into an outdoor beer garden. After a year of construction it opened last weekend, and it’s been nonstop noise, music, and cigarette smoke. I’m sitting in my living room and it sounds like they’re in my home it’s so loud. I worry now about my property value if I ever try selling this house and it’s now next to a loud outdoor bar. It now makes sense why the sellers hurried and sold this place to us before the bar’s plans were fully realized.
Should I be concerned about the property value moving forward?
