New neighbor and shared fence dispute

The house behind me just sold and was bought by a developer/flipper. It sounds like this is his first flip and he’s looking to get in/out fast. We have a shared property line which currently features a fence. When I bought the house a year ago, I communicated with the owners and we each installed half.

The developer is coming in guns blazing talking about tearing it down and putting up his own fence. I’m not opposed to replacing current fence but obviously want to have a say in design, etc. Without directly saying so, he signals it will just all be controlled by him.

So, my question is if he just starts tearing the existing fence down without consulting me, what are my options? Do I call police? Do I physically stop him? My assumption is that since it’s a shared fence that is grandfathered in, he would be in the wrong. Appreciate any advice here.
