Hi, I need some thoughts on how to unstuck a situation. I’d appreciate any constructive advice or resources anyone would like to share.
I have a property I inherited, halfway across the country. Due to circumstances, there is no feasible (or reasonable) way for me to go there and empty, clean, and otherwise deal with it. The home is in Albuquerque New Mexico.
I’m having a few issues figuring out how to file the quitclaim to transfer it (I have the court paperwork to do so) The remaining mortgage is negligible and inconsequential (can afford to pay off at will) It’s full of stuff. I have no idea how to get people who won’t do me wrong while packing it into a trailer and shipping it.
By the same token, it would need some cleanup and dealing with anything minor and inexpensive. Not interested in doing any repairs that aren’t cost-effective (neutral or better) I most likely want to sell it, rental to est value is only about 8% ROI before costs, and I don’t really want to be one of those landlords with houses far away from where they live.
