Massachusetts disclosure recourse

I recently purchased a house in Massachusetts.

Since moving in I’ve discovered there is a tremendous amount of noise and air pollution generated by an electric substation located beyond the property and across a river. This station runs as needed when its very hot or cold to supplement local electricity.

The noise and pollution are from three diesel train engines that were converted to generators in the 1970s. The people at the electric company said there have only been a handful of complaints mostly because where the substation is located is zoned as commercial.

The noise is so bad that it’s unbearable to be inside or outside the home when they’re on. They run for 10+ hours at a time and sometimes overnight. I’m forced to sleeping in my dining room in am effort to escape the constant hum and vibration in my floors.

I want to know if I have any recourse against the sellers?
