I am personally torn on whether this street is a selling point or a detriment in terms of potential resell value for a house on it.
On one hand, the street is beautiful and tree-lined. The speed limit is 25mph. It’s wide for two lanes with marked shoulders. There’s an elementary school down the street.
On the other hand, it’s a somewhat main thoroughfare and runs parallel to literal Main St. It has a single-yellow (I had to look up what that means in terms of traffic law) which I think buyers will associate with double-yellows, which have a measurable impact on selling price. The street also has enough traffic to precipitate traffic lights at intersections in either direction from where that street view is.
So overall, I’m curious what others think. Will the street traffic hurt resale value?
