Loan help!!

Hey Reddit.

My husband and I are first time home buyers. I am a disabled veteran and my husband is within 12 months of transitioning out of the military. We wanted to buy a house until this road block happened…

We have PLENTY in savings, extremely high credit scores and $0 in debt. We leave our current duty station in April and don’t stop receiving army income until august, thus leaving us 4 months to find a job. Plus, my husband can apply for his disability in February and is almost guaranteed 100%. We were told because we cannot prove income for the next 12 months we do not qualify for a VA loan.

My question is, is there another kind of home loan we could apply for? Is there a way around this?

Money isn’t the issue, proving income in.

Any and all help is much appreciated!
