Saw the perfect house, got everything together to make an offer, contacted the listing agent….and she said no. Why? Because there were 12 offers already.
She didn’t ask what my offer was, if I was pre-approved, etc.
Is this normal/ok? The house has only been on the market for 3 days, and I get that they would have a lot of offers because the market is hot, but is it common practice to decline an offer just because there are “too many”?
It kind of took the wind out of my sails as I look for my first home because houses do get so many offers/go so quickly and if I can’t even make an offer how the hell am I going to buy a house!
