Listing agent asking for pre-approval instead of pre-qualification

I recently put an offer on a house and the seller’s agent countered me saying that I need to provide a pre-approval submitted to underwriting and that my letter was only a pre-qualification. Called up my lender and he said that what they’re likely asking for is the specific pre approval on this address stating the underwriter approved the loan and that they don’t do this and to have them call him and verify our application if they need. I don’t want to lose this deal, but the agent insists that this is normal and it’s odd to not show a pre-approval that’s been submitted to underwriting. Is this normal nowadays? I feel like it’s a big ask to do this for every single offer you put out there.
