Seeking advice on letting a help to buy property for a period of a year (I’m halfway through paying the HTB loan). There are mitigating circumstances (health related) behind the reason, which are all evidenced. However, HTB have refused to provide approval to let, although the mortgage provider is happy to. What I would like to know is could I forge a tenancy agreement but not inform the mortgage provider as the tenants will be paying me via bank transfer and I’ll be paying the mortgage as normal. Or alternatively, Inform the mortgage provider but tick the box indicating I do not have a help to buy loan? Your advice is greatly appreciated.
